About Us

It all began during a memorable trip in 2014. Dani and Alex were a couple who shared a deep love for each other and for exploring the world. Their happiest moments often came when they disconnected from daily distractions, leaving their phones behind and immersing themselves in the beauty of places like Hawaii. Those annual getaways became a source of joy, freedom, and inspiration.

Before one of these trips, Dani decided to treat herself to something special. She purchased two bikinis online, spending a significant amount of money with high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be disappointing. One swimsuit failed to justify its high price due to poor quality, while the other simply didn’t fit or flatter as she had hoped. That moment of frustration sparked a realization—there had to be a better option for women seeking stylish, well-made swimwear at a fair price.

While still on vacation, Dani came across a book titled “The 4-Hour Work Week.” Its ideas left a lasting impression on her and planted the seed for something bigger. Inspired, she began reaching out to existing bikini brands, hoping to sell their products through a website she planned to create. However, she quickly discovered a major obstacle: the wholesale prices offered to her were nearly the same as what she wanted her future customers to pay. It became clear that if she wanted to deliver value and maintain her vision, she would need to create her own brand.

Returning to Sydney, Dani and Alex decided to take the leap. With no prior experience in the fashion industry, they began designing their own line of bikinis. The initial collection was modest—simple, playful, and designed with care. When their website officially launched on February 20, 2015, the first orders came in almost immediately, marking the beginning of something special.

Their early operations were far from glamorous. The “warehouse” was their garage, decorated with string lights hanging over stacks of milk crates to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Alex balanced a full-time job during the day while dedicating his evenings to building the business alongside Dani. Together, they handled every detail—from packing orders by hand to writing addresses on envelopes. Alex would even bring packages to work and ship them out during his lunch breaks. It was a demanding routine, but their dedication never wavered.

As the brand gained traction, new opportunities began to emerge. In 2015, they attended their first trade show in Huntington Beach, where retailers showed interest in carrying their products. By the following summer, their bikinis could be found in well-known stores across California and Hawaii. At the same time, their online presence continued to grow, attracting a loyal and expanding community.

In 2016, Dani and Alex traveled to Dongguan, China, to visit the factory producing their swimwear. Ensuring ethical and responsible practices was important to them from the very beginning. There, they met Jane and her husband Xing Xing, who shared their commitment to building a business that would have a positive impact. Together, they formed a partnership based on trust, learning, and shared values.

As their journey progressed, life milestones blended with business growth. Dani and Alex got married in Sydney, celebrating with friends and family during a beautiful summer wedding. Around the same time, the company began to expand, bringing in new team members who quickly became part of a close-knit work family. Space became limited as operations grew, but the sense of unity only strengthened.

Not long after, they welcomed their first child, Hendrix. Amid the busy pace of running a growing business, he brought joy and balance into their lives. The office environment adapted to include him, with team members happily sharing in the experience of watching him grow.

Eventually, the brand outgrew its humble beginnings and moved into a larger office and warehouse space. This new home represented how far they had come and provided room for further expansion. As partnerships with major retailers developed, the brand’s visibility increased on a global scale, both online and in stores.

Looking ahead, Dani and Alex remain focused on their original mission—creating swimwear that makes women feel confident and happy. What started as a small idea born out of frustration and inspiration has grown into a thriving brand, fueled by passion, persistence, and a genuine connection with its community.
